Best of 2014: Moments

Here at The Black Tie Bride, we treasure moments captured well. The thought that a brief moment in time can be preserved and become enduring in more than a fleeting memory drives us to share beautiful pieces of wedding days. You may forget the flavor of the cake or the name of some of the guests in attendance, but the joy you felt when you ran hand in hand from the church; the way your heart warmed seeing Grandma laughing during your toast; the way tears filled your eyes as your best friend toasted your new marriage. These are the pieces of a black tie wedding that you hold fast to – the ones where people you love fill the space. And that is why we’re so honored to share with you our choices for Best Moments 2014.

One: Sometimes a great moment is a matter of perspective. We adore this view of bride and groom exiting their wedding, photographed from inside the getaway car by Ace & Whim! It’s a wonderful glimpse at a couple’s grand exit! This photo was first featured at The Black Tie Bride here.

Six: This the type of moment that reminds us what a wedding is all about. We love the emotion here! You can so clearly see the adoration this groom has for his bride and the overwhelming sense of  love he has when he sees her walking down the aisle to join him in marriage. Beautiful! Photo by Matt Kennedy from this romantic British Columbia wedding.

Seven: This is such a wonderfully photojournalistic image! We love how the entire image tells the story – from the bride and groom’s smiles to the cathedral in the background to the confetti being thrown and the bride’s fur coat. Perfection! Moment captured by Indra Simons from this stunning Netherlands wedding.

Eight: The genuine emotion of this image drew us in! We love that not only the groom is grinning from ear to ear, but the priest is as well! It’s a wonderful moment captured as the bride walks down the aisle. Photo by Heather Kincaid from this sophisticated Santa Monica wedding.

Nine: We adore a quiet moment shared between bride and groom on their wedding day. This image emotes a hushed and reverent feeling with every view. Simply stunning! Photo by Korie Lynn from this classic Texas wedding.
