Best Of 2017: Wedding Cakes

We’re continuing our Best Of 2017 series today with our choices for the best wedding cakes of the year! Each has its own beauty, and they hold elegant and romantic style that we know you’ll love as much as we do. Enjoy!

ONE:  This wedding cake by Juanita Lane of Dulce Desserts is so incredibly grand! We love the timeless style we see in the five tier design, and the detailing that cascades from the top is stunning. A floral cake topper is the perfect finishing touch! Photo by Chesley Summar Photography. See more in this timeless styled shoot at The Mitchell House.

TWO: The romance of this wedding cake by Broad Street Bakery & Cafe is what landed it on our Best Of list! We adore the white tiers and the vertical striped texture. It’s the incredible floral accents, though, that make this cake such a romantic one. It’s so gorgeous! Photo by A.J. Dunlap Photography. See more in this romantic country club wedding.

THREE: With a classic white base and such beautiful uses of texture, this six tier wedding cake by Hands on Sweets has so many amazing elements! We love the grandeur of the design. A quilt and bead design provides the base tier with a gorgeous look, followed by a detailed – yet subtle – textured tier that’s repeated on the top. A gold brushed tier, delicate gold leaves, and a gold monogram design add a glamorous touch to the design that we love! Photo by Sarah & Ben. FOUR: Next on our list is this gorgeous cake by Whole Foods. The classic white design has a bit of texture on alternating tiers, but the real beauty of this design are the bright Dendrobium orchids that are used as the cake topper and tier accents. With them, this cake has a real wow factor! Photo by Amy Allen Photography. See more in this elegant military wedding.

FIVE: This cake design by Nine Cakes was perfect for a Halloween wedding in New York City, but would be equally fitting for any black tie wedding! We love the five tier design with the top two tiers brushed with gold. The cascading floral cake topper adds elements of whimsy and a moody elegance that we love! Photo by Ron at Brian Dorsey Studios. EIGHT: Classic is the best descriptor for this wedding cake by Anna Parzych Cakes! The five tier design is lined with white beads, which only adds to the timelessness of the cake. The floral cake topper and cascading accents are gorgeous and the perfect fit for such a classic design! Photo by Trish Kemp. See more in this elegant Farmington Club wedding.

NINE: This cake mixes grand style with a hint of whimsy! We love the texture and three-dimensional elements that the delicate flower pieces add to the design. Photo by Jessica Haley. See more in this grand New York city wedding.
