Leading Ladies “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” Styled Shoot by Melanie & Co. Events and Julie Shuford

We adore the concept of this Leading Ladies styled shoot by Melanie & Co Events and photographer Julie Shuford! The entire inspiration shoot gives us a fresh and glamorous way to ask, “Will you be my bridesmaid?” to your best friends. Julie says it perfectly: “Your best friends are always the leading ladies in your life and your wedding day is no different. Diana Ross wouldn’t be Diana Ross without the Supremes, and the bride wouldn’t be who she is without her best friends. Asking a friend to be in your bridal party is more than just sending a cute box or funny card; it’s a celebration of the leading role they play in a soon-to-be bride’s life. This shoot celebrates the bond a group best friends shares with intentional details while paying homage to the leading ladies of decades past.”

The shoot exudes vintage glamour in every details – from the gorgeous gowns the bridesmaids each wear to the accessories and the decor. We love that the ‘ask’ included glamorous portraits taken for each bridesmaid, followed by pre-dinner cocktails together. Then it was on to the incredible table set for four, where each bridesmaid found a handwritten note from the bride that told them how important their role in the her life was to her. Of course, the letter ended with the important question: “will you be my bridesmaid?” Gift bags including champagne, a vinyl record centered around friendship, and a Leading Ladies Planner with important wedding related dates noted were given to each woman. When asked in such a meaningful, fun way, it’s no surprise that each of these bridesmaids said, “yes!”
